These words may make me sound like a heartless bitch, which I really am not. Everyone interprets words differently. My point is I want to see everyone fulfill their highest potential, to fly as high as they can...and if I inhibit that in any way, I will step aside. Happiness resides within oneself. Making someone else happy is a beautiful thing, but not when happiness is dependent solely upon another individual.
ReplyDeleteBrutal words, but honest. Those could have been directed at me long ago. The old, hopeless romantic in me recalls aches from the distant past. My heart has cooled down considerably in more recent years, yet I'm a more balanced man. I understand the seriousness of your words and feelings. Reality is harsh. Sometimes it takes hearing heart-crushing honesty from other people to learn and set yourself free.
