January 29 - Beautiful Moments

Pale white clouds

lit by a luminescent star

As smooth and soft 

as the cheek 

of a porcelain doll

I reach out to feel it

beyond the traffic

the power lines

the buildings

Reflection

creates a double sun

A moment of beauty 

softly and slowly fading

Its time in existence expiring

just like the fate 

of all other beautiful moments...

...a gentle reminder to cherish them deeply

Science can explain the "how" and "why" to a degree, but only at a microcosmic level and not in regard to the macrocosm...you can only get to a certain point, at which the fundamental answers remain a mystery and illustrate how extraordinary and seemingly divine all existence is.
